Exercise During Pregnancy Seminar
Pregnancy is a time in which there are a lot of changes that occur within our body.
As our baby continues to grow, our organs shift, our posture changes, our joints can become sore, back pain commonly arises, we experience abdominal separation, our pelvic floor is impacted…the list of physical symptoms goes on, varying from individual to individual.
Individualised exercise can help manage our symptoms during this period of significant physical change. In addition to the physical changes, there are also huge amounts of emotional changes during pregnancy, and many women also experienced heightened mental health symptoms including depression and anxiety during pregnancy. It is well researched that exercise has a positive impact on our mental health and mood during pregnancy.
And wait, there is more! During pregnancy fatigue and nausea are common symptoms that often make exercise quite challenging. When used appropriately, exercise can in fact be helpful, and we can provide strategies to modify exercise to navigate these unpleasant symptoms. Exercise is also an important tool to assist with our metabolic health, cardiovascular health, circulation and general health during pregnancy.
