Exercise for Post Menopause

Exercise for Post Menopause

The transition from perimenopause to postmenopausal can coincide with a lot of change in the body and how it functions. Due to the large declines in some of our hormones, we can see the impact on our cardiovascular function, increased risk for osteoporosis, weight gain and our pelvic floor function – just to name a few! Exercise is recommended as an integral part of your plan to help alleviate your symptoms and work towards your goals.

Exercise is used to assist with:

  • Bone health and improving bone density
  • Managing mental health, mood and self confidence
  • Weight management and body composition
  • Pelvic floor health/function
  • Reducing brain fog and cognition
  • Increase insulin sensitivity
  • Joint pain
  • Cardiovascular function and disease prevention
  • And so many more!

We recommend guidance from an exercise physiologist to provide you with an individualised approach based on your symptoms, goals and other health concerns.

We accept Medicare referrals, Private Health Funds and NDIS.
